Senior Planner (Planner IV),

Ventura County invites applications for a Senior Planner (Planner IV) position with an excellent benefits package and salary range from $72,381.88 to $106,822.93 annually; salary dependent upon career experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have project management, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills. Candidates must be able to review and process entitlement applications, prepare written staff reports and CEQA environmental documents, and be able to present to boards and commissions effectively. The list of eligible candidates created by this recruitment may be used to fill positions in the Commercial and Industrial Permits Section, the Residential Permits Section, or the Long-Range Planning Section; including assignments directly related to the County's General Plan Update. Highly desired candidates will have a Master's degree in Urban Planning or a related field and 5+ years of progressively complex work experience in land-use planning.
